The Grierson Trust has launched its annual call for entries to the ‘UK’s most prestigious awards in documentary filmmaking: Grierson 2014 – The British Documentary Awards.’ Entries are invited for 12 categories, each celebrating the very best in factual filmmaking. – The award categories are:

BEST SCIENCE OR NATURAL HISTORY DOCUMENTARY
Nyman Libson Paul BEST ENTERTAINING DOCUMENTARY
Envy BEST DOCUMENTARY SERIES
Bertha DocHouse BEST CINEMA DOCUMENTARY
CTVC BEST NEWCOMER DOCUMENTARY (carries a cash prize of £3,000)
Sky Atlantic BEST STUDENT DOCUMENTARY (carries a cash prize of £3,000)
